These hand dipped natural beeswax candles are made in Sussex using traditional candle dipping methods by Lia; aka The Sussex Bee, with wax from her own precious hives.

The process is a slow crafted labour of love, as each candle takes on average 30 dips.

In winter months, when the days are short and the apiary is quiet, Lia puts her time to hand dipping candles using beeswax from her hives. Her Sussex Beeswax candles offer beautiful bright light with a natural scent of honey. They are paraffin free and provide an all natural, sustainable candlelight for the home.

I’ve admired Lia’s work for a number of years now - her care for the bees, for the environment and the skilled way in which she turns their honey and wax into the most divine products. I’m thrilled that she has allowed me to offer a small quantity of her beautiful candles..
